Lake Eufaula .
Lakepoint State Park is a vacation spot with everything you need for relaxation and fun. Traveling north from Eufaula, one crosses the Walter F. George Reservoir before turning right into Lakepoint State Park. The park has comprehensive facilities that complement its location; the 1,220-acres of the park sit along the large and beautiful Lake Eufaula, known as the "Bass Capital of the World." Fishermen abound, taking advantage of the full service marina, boat rentals, overnight docking, and boat launching facilities. The Resort Motel offers 101 rooms, a restaurant, swimming pool, and gameroom. Cabins provide more rustic accommodations, while the heartiest set down stakes in the 244-site campground. A community center, pavilion, beach and boat ramp are adjacent to the camping area. An 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, and hiking trails offer exercise along with fun. Travel up the road a bit to visit the Nature Center near the National Wildlife Refuge.

A recently improved camping facility includes 50 sites with water and electricity, seven sites with full hookups and numerous primitive sites. After swimming, campers may pan fish in the Choctawatchee River, rent a paddle boat for river exploration, or play tennis on the park courts.
